The Red Line or "to cross the red line", is a phrase used worldwide to mean a figurative point of no return or line in the sand, or "a limit past which safety can no longer be guaranteed."
The War, Defense, and International Security Club is now the Red Line.
It’s about identifying where the red lines in global geopolitics are and education and discussion with the goal of developing ideas for the prevention of crossing red lines and when red lines have been crossed, how to recover.
Rules:
Clearly articulate facts, assumptions, and opinions and be prepared to clarify and provide support.
No recording or republishing.
Contributors/Speakers thoughts are their own.
Be courteous and professional: “there’s no fighting in the war room.”
The Red Line rooms feel like intense crash courses on important topics such as the semiconductor industry, cybersecurity, water, energy, AI, and global politics. It also has meta game dynamics such as being attacked and shut down on Clubhouse through the platform’s trust and safety tools, presumably by actors that may not want certain discussions to happen or perspectives to be shared.
The room feels somewhat terrifying at times, as these are challenging conversations in a public forum, with God knows who listening. However, it seems that not being able to have challenging conversations about important topics, in good faith, to further understanding, would be the definition of tyranny.
