“I was drunk.”
“The weed gave me munchies.”
“I’ll start tomorrow.”

Fasting is an ancient practice. I’m not planning on 40 days in the desert, but I am going to spend October 2021 with no weed and no alcohol. Harvard calls “dopamine fasting” a maladaptive fad. However, fasting from any habit or addiction is a good way to reflect on the energy behind the behavior.
Plant medicines and mind altering substances don’t make you do anything. They reveal.

“If you get the message, hang up the phone. For psychedelic drugs are simply instruments, like microscopes, telescopes, and telephones. The biologist does not sit with eye permanently glued to the microscope, he goes away and works on what he has seen.”
