Last night, I was having virtual drinks on Zoom with my friend William, a venture capitalist who is also in quarantine here in Taiwan. He was drinking whiskey, but his drink order that he was having delivered to me got stuck somewhere, so I drank tea. Afterwards, we went into a CH room with about ten people, including a meme dealer who hangs out in the War Room. She changed her profile photo to this:
…and as a joke we all changed our profile photos to this image. Then it evolved into a Friday night game where we would “raid” other rooms and attempt to bring some positivity and fun to the platform. It was like a raid of a capitol city by an opposing faction in World of Warcraft, but a little less nerdy, and instead of killing lowbies and NPCs, we were spreading love and light, in remembrance of the days of #Prelon before Elon Musk joined Clubhouse. I was initiated into Clubhouse on 21BE (Before Elon). The Prelon movement seemed like an interesting metagame and social experiment in the world of Clubhouse, so I played along.
We had a base camp room called the House of Prelon that we would gather in, and then one Prelon Acolyte would enter a room and ping everyone else into that room. This room was funny - the Prelons showed up, and the speaker was asleep.
It was fun for a little while, and the movement began multiplying like a memetic virus. It was also a demonstration of how flash mobs have attacked different rooms, like the Eric Weinstein and Jordan Peterson trigger room I mentioned the other day. I logged off and went to bed.
Today, it is still going, and actually growing:

I’m not sure how I feel about this. I think it was an interesting social experiment, and we shall see what happens.
Prelon has evolved and taken on a life of its own: https://prelon.org/ - and there's even a Prelon Musk bot that keeps The House of Prelon room open.
...and there was a nuclear scientist in the room working on micro-reactors that was super interesting. The simulation is in overdrive.
