There are those moments, when it feels like we get to step behind the veil of reality. Drinking Ayahuasca in the jungle is one of those experiences. Roaming the Playa in heightened states at Burning Man is another. Smoking weed with Don Howard and his sister was one of the most powerful experiences I’ve had.
Then there’s music. Hans Zimmer Live in a heightened state was a transcendent experience.
We ended up going to a symphony tonight. Yes, it’s a different world here in Taiwan. There’s something mystical about the energy of an orchestra - the practice, the energy, the consciousness that has been invested, and the language, space, and time that has been traversed to deliver the experience of Beethoven in a modern concert hall in Taipei.
The other day, I was hanging out on Clubhouse in the Cosmic Balcony. Christen Lien and Butterscotch played their music together live, for the first time, ever. With the new high quality audio on Clubhouse broadcasting that symphony across an ocean as I rode on a train from Kaohsiung to Taipei, it was an epic soundtrack for my journey.
Life is experiencing talent and technology on the Cosmic Balcony. If that’s what we choose.
