My Clubhouse experience imagined as a Christopher Nolan movie.

After a few weeks on the app, I’ve gathered a ton of notes, rabbit holes to explore and I’ve found some interesting new friends. It’s time to digest, absorb, and focus on building stuff.

I’m still excited for many rooms that are in the works and love the new connections I’ve made. There’s also something about the intensity of Clubhouse that makes the real world appear to move in slow motion… And the fact that so many of the conversations seem to be manifesting from the future creates a “temporal pincer movement” effect which makes it feel like I’m intersecting with a future version of myself.

An additional interesting phenomenon with Clubhouse is that there are multiple interesting conversations happening simultaneously. FOMO or “Fear of Missing Out” is social anxiety, especially triggered by social media. I think there’s something about the firehose effect of Clubhouse that is a cure for FOMO… It’s like binging on something to “get over it.” Burnout.

Time travel and a cure for FOMO. What’s not to like? Well, perhaps the fact that Elon Musk has invited massive government scrutiny and Russian psyops to the platform with his meme trolling. This is why we need the House of Prelon.
