My grandfather gave me my name, 王致遠. (Wáng Zhìyuǎn)
It is from a Chinese idiom: 寧靜致遠 - which translates to “tranquility yields transcendence.” So, the literal translation is King of Transcendence.

The downside is it is really difficult for Westerners to pronounce, so people just call me “Yen.”
I have some name doppelgangers. One of them, named Peter Wang, (same Chinese name) decided to engage in an insult fight yesterday with Scott Adams, a professional cartoonist, over some political tweets by calling him a human Klein bottle. Scott replies, calling him dick-dick. I couldn’t help but laugh. There’s a dynamic here that shows the blind spot of the intellectual “elite” that is pretty ironic. Insults that people need to use Wikipedia to understand have a pretty niche audience.
